The flurry of the holidays got me. My mind has been running at top speed with ideas and projects that I’ve somehow missed some of my self imposed deadlines, aka Substack posts written weeks ago sitting in drafts.
I think the holidays do that to most of us. The planning and running around is overwhelming. Last minute trips to the shops for gift wrappers (how many do we actually need?), forgetting that one ingredient to make that Christmas dessert! Argh! I find myself pulling some stops every so often because you gotta calm your own self down. What I do? Sit, browse social media or a play that one game app I have on my phone. And then I forget what I’m doing and panic sets in. Is it the perimenopause brain? I’ll use that excuse.
Before the hectic merriment kick, I want to wish everyone who’s subscribed and connected with me here in Substack …
May your table be filled with nourishment surrounded by joy, love and grace.
Praying for those who are without families to celebrate with, displaced or living in unimaginable conditions because of war and poverty.
I’m sharing a post from the previous year with an e-cookbook I created to share some Filipino recipes for you to try! Happy cooking everyone! and be gentle with yourself this silly season!
Maligayang Pasko!
Merry Christmas, too! Enjoy the holidays.
